And Everything Started To Fall is a short 2D platformer about life experiences. There are no instructions provided in-game, so players are advised to learn the controls from the forum thread description before they start playing.
The game also comes with a creator’s statement inside the included text file. (Windows, 2.88MB)

thats gotta be one of the most amazing names for a game.
I like this one more than passage! Great job Alexitron
Do you know what is freaking me out ? that I didn’t knew That I made this game for the Experimental Gameplay’s art game theme. Maybe I’m just being encouraged to do so ?
Anyways , I am working on a little update to put the controls in the game and that creator statement as well so I can get rid of that text file all together .There is also a little issue when the checkpoints are created , i got it solved . I may also change the menu image and will also have a second version with a high quality version of the music , big file size .
Thanks for featuring my game and thank you guys for your feedback
Guess I should correct that then, although I don’t actually believe you for one second. 🙂
I swear , I wasn’t even aware of it . In fact I just very recently got an interest in this art game stuff , this is actually my first try . But leave it like that , I will just check the contest out and submit it , I mean , the game is already done . Thank you Tim .
I liked it a good deal. If you’re going to compare it to Passage, though, I’d have to say it doesn’t quite get the message across as well. Though I enjoyed the scrolling aspect, which does convey that sense of rushing or being out of control.
I think, for one, the platforming elements took some of the edge off, as dying a few times could easily take your mind out of the actual message. For another, where Passage was sort of a generic “journey” where you made simple, symbolic choices, the life represented in this is maybe a bit more opinionated, and might be less personal for some players.
Was actually a tiny bit turned off by what seemed to be reinforcements of the stereotype that life ends after 30. *Spoilers*, but, after the marriage sprites it seemed like everything was pills and death. Not to nitpick, but that does seem to come through as part of the statement; Life moves fast and you’re a kid and you have some fun and then you get a job and settle down and it’s a slow, boring march towards the grave after that.
Enjoyed the game quite a bit though, that comparison aside.
This game is depressing….
I’m getting these black squares behind all of the images on the screen. It doesn’t REALLY mess up gameplay, but I feel like I’m probably missing a lot.
I get the same boxes when I try to play on YoYoGames, so I don’t know what the deal is.
I don’t get what is it with those squares either . You are the third one to complain about it and I really can’t figure out what it is . A compatibility issue was suggested , I don’t know . Try F4 to go window mode and see what happens . I am sorry , I really do not know what the problem is .
Holy crap, I didn’t expected this level of brillance O.O
Congrats.
The scrolling needs to give more lead time in old age. I got stuck in a loop where it was impossible to get to the ladder before dying.
Or maybe this was the point?
Ditto here on getting those black squares. I didn’t play it all because I would imagine it’d ruin the experience.
Vista64, GeForce 9500 GS
at some point,scroll fast.
at some point,scroll slow.
This is life. I learned one thing. I will never spend my life to make money.
That endless death loop is my fault . I thought I had addressed it but my method gave me yet another problem . I will look into it and get it fixed hopefully by tomorrow .
About those black squares , I don’t know , it has to be a compatibility issue . Can you try to run it in compatibility with windows XP or something ? Did you tried going window mode by pressing F4 ? maybe your resolution is super high ? The game doesn’t change the resolution but uses whatever you have .
Where are girls in this game?
@Alexitron:
Tried running compatibility under XP, Win2k, 98, etc… All of those times I ran it under Administrator mode.
When I ran it in my Windows XP Virtual Machine, the black squares were gone but the game ran awfully slow for some reason (without taking up much CPU or RAM).
video playthrough:
The endless death loop has been fixed . The compatibility issue is beyond what I can do but thanks for your help on this issue . Nice video too I added it to my channel . Here are the links to the fixed and high quality music versions .
