Undercoders and Hamo Studio’s Band Land is a trivia game where players have to guess the names of their favorite artists. The twist here is that instead of using photographs, you’re given an artist’s rendition of a singer or band in their performance get-ups. Some of these costumes are as iconic as the artist themselves, though a couple of the drawings will give you a hard time when it happens to be another look-alike singer dressed in a black suit.
Band coins are awarded when you answer quickly and precisely. These coins can be used to purchase hints that reveal the title of an artist’s album or letters of their names. It’s easy to run out of coins if you’re not familiar with the history of music, and unfortunately the only other way to get more coins is to buy them from in-app purchases.
The game currently features over two hundred singers and bands, split into ten levels of ascending difficulty. Band Land is available as a free download from the App Store.
