Jonathan’s Wyrmery is a Death Worm-style arcade game made in under three days for the Ludum Dare 29 competition. In it you play as a giant wyrm that has to eat humans to grow, then lay eggs so that more wyrms can join your brood. The more humans you devour, the longer the wyrm becomes.
You’ll need to watch out for drills that drop out of the sky and bore a hole into the ground before exploding, killing anything that’s in its area of effect. Though it’s not obvious from the start, there is actually a delicate ecosystem built into Wyrmery. An overpopulation of wyrms can cause their food source to be depleted quickly, and it’s difficult to burrow upwards when too many large caverns have been created underground.
