StudioBento seeks funding for documentary GameLoading: Rise of the Indies

Posted on September 25, 2014 by Konstantinos D.

GameLoading: Rise of the Indies is a film project started by Australian filmmakers Lester Francois and Anna Brady about how indie game developers all over the world have impacted the video game industry. With the help of their first Kickstarter project’s backers, they traveled around the world, filming indie developers in their workspaces, at game shows, and elsewhere. Now they’re running a second Kickstarter to raise funds for post-production to give the film a professional level of polish.

StudioBento has already released numerous short videos on their YouTube channel, including a one about BitSummit, a bit of a spoilerific interview with Mike Bithell about the development of the story in Thomas Was Alone, and a piece about the Dutch Game Garden.
They have more extra content in the works for Kickstarter backers from the $25 AUD tier up, with a digital copy of just the final film available at the $15 AUD level. They are seeking a total of $50,000 AUD (approx. $44,000 USD), with almost $8,800 AUD raised and 27 days to go at time of this writing.
