With Gamescom going on and PAX West around the corner, this week’s trailer roundup was very hard to trim down. Some of today’s games are playable at Gamescom, if you’re going. If you watch all ten of these and want to see some of the trailers that didn’t make the cut, check out Cubway, Death Squared, and Space Rift.

From developer PaperSeven: “Blackwood Crossing is a story-driven first-person adventure game exploring the relationship between Scarlett and Finn, orphaned siblings growing apart as Scarlett is coming of age and leaving childhood behind. When they cross paths with a mysterious figure, a seemingly ordinary train ride evolves into a magical story of life, love and loss.” Blackwood Crossing can be found at Gamescom at the UKIE booth (D014 – C015) in hall 3.2.

This is yet another survival sandbox game in Early Access. However, most of them aren’t as silly as this one seems to be.

This is a puzzle game about slicing clumps of blocks into smaller clumps of equal size. If this 30-second spot doesn’t give you a good feel for the gameplay, there’s a longer video showing more of it.

From one-person devloper Hypersect: “In INVERSUS, the player’s walls are the opposing player’s paths and their walls are the player’s paths. Each shot flips tile colors in an attempt to block, trap, and close in on the enemy. Firing a bullet opens up a path for the opposition while also closing off a path for the player. Watch the launch trailer to get an even better understanding of the basic concepts.”

From developer Tivaru: “KABOUNCE is a team versus team, third person multiplayer pinball game where you control the ball. Two teams compete in a best of three format. This racing game features procedurally generated tracks spit out of a tiger or panda head and floating in space. It also supports VR.

From developer Fun Punch Games: “Strikers Edge is a multiplayer battle arena game where the players fight as ancient warriors. Opponents stand in opposite sides of an arena, fighting each other with ranged weapons. Dodge, take cover, aim and scorch the earth with devastating blows!” Strikers Edge can be found at Gamescom at the Indie Arena Booth in hall 10.1 and booth C017d in hall 3.2.
