The L.E.A.F. suit gives you the power to run quickly and jump incredibly high, yet it isn’t the most marvelous power in Blue Isle Studio’s Valley. In this valley filled with ancient ruins and lost woods, the most wondrous power is the suit’s ability to give and take life, bringing things back to existence or drawing the energy from living things.
Your own deaths will also affect the world of Valley. A little careless platforming will result in a dead protagonist, but in this game, every death and respawn drains a little life from the world itself. Your failures will slowly destroy the world you’re exploring, so you’ll want to take a little care with every jump. It may be exhilarating in that fancy suit, but don’t let that get the better of you.
But, I mean, first person grappling. I know that’ll get me killed, but I am only human. And how often do I get to be first-person Spider Man?
Valley is available for $19.99 on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. For more information on the game and Blue Isle Studio, you can head to the developer’s site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
