Yurei Station is a point and click adventure built around Japanese ghost stories, one that starts off with an unsettling text from a friend. Your mission is to find out what happened to them and help them – if you can.
The biggest drawing point, personally, was the visuals. The game prides itself on having all hand-painted graphics with pencils and watercolors. It’s amazing how well they settle within the game, creating an eerie, yet compelling, look. The game was developed within 2 days, so it’s relatively short, but it has a very unsettling atmosphere and a story that makes players beg for more.
Within the game, you will have to solve a few puzzles with only the hints provided in the unsettling text messages you receive. The game won’t hold your hand through these, so you’ll have to figure them out on your own.
You can play Yurei Station on on itch.io! You can also check out the developer’s site and Twitter.
