‘Darksburg’ Promises Cooperative Zombie Bashing With Nuns And Squirrels

Posted on September 6, 2018September 6, 2018 by Thomas Faust

Shiro Games’ upcoming title Darksburg will offer co-op top-down multiplayer mayhem in a medieval town overrun by zombies – think Left 4 Dead meets Diablo.

The game’s colorful cast is what stands out most. A battle-hardened nun, a ranger with a squirelly companion, a beefy cook, and a werewolf? These are not your regular heroes. These four unlikely allies will have to fight their way out of many an unpleasant situation, with teamwork being mandatory as the infested hordes close in.

The game looks and plays a lot like your typical action RPG, but the underlying systems are heavily influenced by other genres. Things like an adaptive AI mastermind that reacts to how well your group is doing, different objectives, and even a PVP mode of sorts certainly sound familiar. It remains to be seen if Shiro Games manage to spin this into something unique. An early glimpse at the recently revealed gameplay certainly looked promising.

Darksburg will be available as an early access title in late 2019. To keep up with development, you can follow Shiro Games on Twitter or Facebook.
