DISTRAINT 2

‘DISTRAINT 2’ Explores Finding Hope After Giving Up Your Humanity for Your Job

Posted on November 13, 2018November 11, 2018 by Joel Couture

After evicting people from their homes to rise up in a company in the previous game, you find yourself trying to find redemption in your personal darkness in DISTRAINT 2.

In DISTRAINT, Price repossessed some properties in order to get a partnership at McDade, Bruton & Moore. This move resulted in Price moving through an unsettling vision of reality, exploring the depths of his cruel act. This follow-up continues with that story, taking you on Price’s journey to find purpose and restore some good to the world. Price just has to live through the continued horrors that plague him to do it.

You’ll need to explore various locales, some cheerful and bright and some very, very not, finding items and conversing with the people you meet along the way in DISTRAINT 2. Over time, you’ll steadily uncover more of the disturbing world you’ve accidentally opened up with your past acts, and with a great deal of work, you might survive to see Price find redemption for what he did. Or maybe he’ll just continue in his deserved suffering.

With a twisting story and some disturbing elements, DISTRAINT 2 aims to offer a sobering look at how we excuse ourselves for the evils we do for a living, and how we will have to face them one day.

DISTRAINT 2 is available now on Steam.
