‘SHUMP’ Makes You Dodge Bullets as You’re Forced to Climb Higher & Higher

Posted on November 22, 2018November 22, 2018 by Jupiter Hadley

SHUMP, a chaotic mobile game, sees you jumping up platforms and shooting down enemies above you.

A lot is going on in SHUMP – bullets and coins are raining down, enemies are appearing, power-ups are falling. You do automatically shoot forward, so that is one thing that you don’t need to worry about. The screen quickly scrolls upwards, forcing you to jump to the next platform, no matter what dangers await.

You are able to move left and right across the platform, collecting the coins on the ground and grabbing whatever power-ups might have been dropped by enemies, as you dodge bullets. If you jump faster, making it up a bunch of platforms at once, you can earn bonuses! However, dodging bullets is the real challenge, as you have some life but can be easily damaged by all of these shots. That danger only increases when you come up against SHUMP‘s boss fights where you will stay on the top platform until you have destroyed the enemy and moved on.

SHUMP is a really fun, really intense game to play on mobile devices, but if you happen to catch this game at an event, you’ll be able to play it in it’s own arcade machine! I got to play SHUMP at Game Anglia, where I really enjoyed this beautiful machine as well as the game itself.

SHUMP is available for free on the App Store.
