Before Netflix, THE VIDEOKID was dropping off videos by hand, even when in danger of getting run over, steamrolled by joggers, or eaten by alligators.
In THE VIDEOKID, you’ll be cruising down the streets (or sewers, or wherever odd place you have to make your deliveries) throwing tapes into people’s mailboxes, Paperboy-style. This shouldn’t be much of a problem for your average delivery boy, except everyone in the neighborhood seems to have a beef with your bootleg tapes, with drivers, people, and more out to clobber you off your skateboard. With only one life to live, that makes things a bit dicey for those who want to live out the day.
THE VIDEOKID doesn’t just give you a skateboard and make you behave yourself with it, either. You can pull off a few tricks and combos with it, encouraging you to play around even when you should be concentrating on delivering and not dying. Still, if you do well with your deliveries and your stunts, you can afford new upgrades that could make things easier, so sometimes the risks pay off.
THE VIDEOKID is unapologetically 80’s, featuring many nods to the era. For those nostalgic for the time, you’ll be able to enjoy many different things – if you can play well, that is, as the further you get, the more references the game has. You’ll also be able to unlock many characters inspired by famous 80’s personalities as well, giving you all the 80’s you could possibly stand.
