Is a magic squirrel stronger than a jacked beluga? Who would win in a fight between a crow/gorilla hybrid and a walking cat? Fight of Animals answers your burning questions.
Fight of Animals is just a slightly ridiculous fighter, offering a handful of humanoid animals who are all itching to beat one another up. The aforementioned creatures all have their own movesets, all of which can be executed with a directional input and button press to allow for some easy combos. Which is a handy idea for an absurd fighting game, as I don’t know how much people might be willing to practice to really do well in the tournament scene for a fighting game about crow/gorilla creatures. I’d love to be wrong on this, though.
Once you’ve got your choice of beefy animal person, you can tangle with the computer or someone online. What’s not to love about the idea of beating someone up across the planet using a beluga with way better body tone than I could ever hope for in this lifetime? Or a dog with some vicious boxing moves? Or the newly-added slender cat (as the developer continues to keep adding steadily stranger animals to the game’s roster).
Fight of Animals is a silly game that still shows shades of a serious fighter. It just might be hard to take some of its characters seriously in a match. Still, I’m excited at the idea of seeing serious fighters sending out magic squirrels as the crowd roars around them at a global tournament. It could happen.
Fight of Animals is available now on Steam.
