Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 will have you putting together pizzas from abstract instructions as you plan a daring heist in a surreal neighborhood.
Caetano Grosso is a former saxophone player turned pizza joint proprietor, and you are a non-saxophone possessing saxophone player. Well, maybe you aren’t a saxophone player? Maybe it’s just a neat instrument you can picture yourself learning. If that’s the case, it seems awfully early to be turning to theft. If you’re an experienced one, you should probably just stick to using your own. Either way, it’s a terrible idea to try to trick Caetano so that you can steal their saxophone, but here we are.
You need to prove you’re a convincing pizza-maker to pull the heist off, but your clients aren’t interested in giving you straightforward orders. What does one put on a pizza when the person ordering it simply says: “I need to consider beyond that which is in front of me.” What toppings incline an individual to look beyond the immediate and plan for the future? Is pepperoni good for shifting one;s perception of the self and their place in the world? You’ll find out, because your order will be critiqued when it’s all over with.
As you work your new job and prepare your theft, you’ll be treated to the charming individuals who live in the neighborhood, as well as the smooth, complex music developer Cosmo D has loaded the game with. Their works always include some deep thoughts on music that play through the story and soundtrack, so expect a delightful, thoughtful audio journey alongside your existential pizzas.
