Custodians are tasked with solving grisly, disturbing murders, doing so by exploring the minds of those suspected of carrying out the deed.
This means living through the distorted, fragmented visions of death and murder, though, and surviving against the manifestations of gruesome acts in horror game The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead.
Your job in The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead involves finding memory evidence of the killer’s crimes within their minds, so expect to find yourself mucking about in some unpleasant dream sequences. These memories tend to be buried pretty deep under some unsettling imagery and visions as you work your way through these broken minds, and naturally, some resistance will be heading your way. It’s up to you to deal with the things you see, and avoid the dangers of the mind, as you piece together whether this person is guilty or innocent.
Taking in someone else’s memories first-hand would be a dizzying experience on its own, but doing so in a violent, murderous mind has a taxing effect on the character’s mental state as well. You need to keep your own head intact as you explore, avoiding some of the most harmful sights as best you can while staying on track to get the evidence you need. It doesn’t do much good if you get lost within their mind, too.
The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead is available for $14.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Desktop Daydreams Studios, you can head to the developer’s site, the game’s site, or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
