Monsters may want to clobber you as you wander the halls of A Cat’s Journey, but they’re quick to become friends after a little sparring match, too.
A Cat’s Journey has you guiding a cat through what appears to be a cardboard dungeon, which is clearly what cats think they’re doing while messing with boxes. What’s a dungeon without some opposition, though? You’ll find yourself beset by ducks, cute doughnuts, and an array of adorable, fluffy things that you’ll feel guilty beating up on.
As you thump these critters, they’re decide you’re the right person to join up with, giving you an ever-growing crew of charming buddies with special powers. These can be swapped out during your turn in a fight, allowing you to use their special powers on the next creature you run into, making it easier to make more friends. It’s an odd way to make buddies, but why turn down a loyal friend?
A Cat’s Journey is a simple adventure, but offers some fun friendships as you wander its hand-drawn depths.
