Saki is on a camping trip to celebrate her engagement with some friends. That celebration soon turns bone-chilling as her friends disappear and she follows them to an abandoned train in Re:Turn – One Way Trip.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip will have you guiding Saki through the quiet woods and into the wreckage of an old train as you search for her lost friends. Once there, you might find signs of where they’ve gone, as well as hints to other unsettling happenings amongst the broken rail cars. More than that, you can expect some spectral guests who aren’t too keen on your presence.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip will have players running and hiding from a variety of sickening, disturbingly-quick ghosts as they work their way through the train. These beasts will bring Saki’s journey to an end in a hurry if she’s clumsy and makes contact with them, but even so, you’ll need to risk it to find the clues you need to figure out what’s caused these frightening events.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip minimizes the interface and other elements to ensure the players are always focused on the creepy world they’re in. Beyond notes and a handful of items to find to help solve puzzles, it will just be you and the creaking train cars around you.
Well, maybe not for long. So enjoy it while you can, as you’re never all that far from a heart-bursting chase in Re:Turn – One Way Trip.
A beta version of Re:Turn – One Way Trip is available for free on Itch.io. Its full version is slated for release on PC, the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.
