Llamas are on the warpath, smashing your city to bits, so you and some friends will need to quickly calm things down in Llama Palooza.
The llamas were outraged and taking it out on the city in the build of Llama Palooza that was playable at the Sweden Game Conference. Even so, you didn’t really want to kill all of these adorable (if enraged) animals, so it fell to you (and up to three friends) to knock them out and return them to their pens. With a thump on the head from your shepherd’s crook, a whiff of sleeping gas, some drowsiness-inducing darts, or a dozy flower, you can hopefully soothe them into slumber. So long as you still have ammo, that is.
A sleeping Llama will quickly wake back up, forcing you to pick the animal up and throw it in a pen to make sure it’s completely out of trouble. You’d think lugging even one of these creatures around would be hard, but you can stack multiple llamas, NES Noah’s Ark/Bible Adventures-style, in a tower on your shoulders and toss them all into their pens. Just watch out for friendly fire as you do it, as all weapons can hit other players, knocking your backup unconscious in a hurry.
You’ll deal with a variety of different llamas who attack at various ranges (or who are just plain on fire) in your battle against the waves of critters who keep attacking the city. You can revive a downed player to bring fallen pals back into the fight, but if everyone gets knocked out, or if the city gets leveled, you’re all done. Can you really get mad at them for destroying your town when they’re so cute, though?
