You’re an intern at Jagger&Jones, a prestigious creative agency, in Design Hero, and it’ll be up to you whether you listen to your clients and come up with the rights designs if you want to keep this job.
Art and design are a cutthroat world in Design Hero, and players will have to make careful decisions based on what their clients, as well as their potential friends and enemies, say during the game’s story. Depending on how you choose to tackle a task, or how you treat a client or colleague, you’ll alter the course of the story, possibly growing a bit more intimate with fellow designers, or even gaining some enemies in the industry.
Design is an involved process in Design Hero as well, demanding you get a taste for how the job is done. You need to listen to clients, read design documents, and take in information before you settle in to choose the right design. These designs are broken down into several layers you’ll need to get right, using skills in Brainstorming, Designing, Pitching, and Researching skills to bring your own unique options to your creation.
If you do well as an intern, you will steadily grow your clientele into your own business, allowing you the ability to customize your office and create your own creative space (on top of customizing your character to suit yourself). If you’re not too busy with that, you may have time for microgames and a few dates with the people you impress along the way. Don’t just lose yourself in your art without having a little fun!
Design Hero is available for $7.99 on Itch.io, GameJolt, and Steam.
