Drawing from the Godzilla-meets-WWE action of real world rubber monster wrestling show Kaiju Big Battel, Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy follows a monster battle through history.
Dr. Cube was supposed to fight fair in a title bout against American Beetle, but when he rips a hole in time with a special device instead, it’s up to our Kaiju heroes to fight the sinister doctor no matter what timeline he ends up in. Taking place over six distinct time periods, you’ll need to help the giant monsters stop the doctor from defacing history (and maybe help the locals out while you’re there).
Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy will have you duking it out with huge creatures and giant monstrosities in turn-based battles. Don’t expect any random encounters to trip you up while exploring, either – the only fights you need to deal with are those you start by stumbling into enemy characters. When in a scrap, you can use seven different bug beasties to fight back, each with their own unique powers.
Your crew of creatures won’t just be using their powers in a fight, as they each also possess some overworld abilities you can use to get around and solve puzzling situations. This can be especially handy for sidequests, as you may need monster powers to rescue lost kaiju heroes, slay mummies, or adopt cats. Given that this is a game about a wrestling group that wears rubber monster suits, expect a little silliness from Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy as well.
Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy promises some lighthearted wrestling RPG fun. And a character named Silver Potato. So I don’t know about you, but I kind of need to play it now.
Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy is available for $9.99 on Steam.
The music is my favorite part of this game.
I CAN NOT WAIT to play this game.
