Haru dreams of green fields and vast plains even though he’s never seen them, encouraging him to fight against the cruel rulers of an underground world.
The world of Light Fairytale takes place deep underground, but this civilization wasn’t always buried in the earth. It used to be prosperous beneath the sunshine, filled with pleasure and excess, although these things kind of left the people open to Bad Times. The kind of Bad Times that destroy all existence on the surface, forcing people underground. And it’s been a few thousand years since those times, which makes it weird for someone to be dreaming of the green fields that have been so long lost.
Haru’s dreams of this green and blue reality will pit him against the people in charge of underground society, likely shaking up some pieces of information many would prefer stay forgotten. With the help of Kuroko (and some new allies to be met in later chapters), players will guide their crew of cute little characters in turn-based battle as they work their way back to the surface world.
The first episode of Light Fairytale has just released from single developer studio neko.works, along with a gorgeous anime opening to get you excited for this and future installments.
Light Fairytale Episode 1 is available for $9.99 on Steam Early Access.
