A desert planet all, but abandoned by intelligent life, is your target for exploration in Marble Safari.
Up until very recently, there were humanoid beings living on the dusky dunes you explore in Shabby’s Marble Safari. However, their somewhat sudden disappearance isn’t a hindrance to your task. You, as a flying saucer, and your agate marble drones, must observe and document the remaining creatures and lifeforms on the sandy planet.
Play is simple. You roll around the environment as a marble, experimenting with the things you find to try to figure out what happened to this place. The nature of your job is simple; aside from recovering historical tablets which are littered around, you must experience the life cycle on the planet. This means that you will need to have your marble consumed, tainted, or destroyed in as many ways as possible. After all, the best way to experience an ecosystem is to become part of it – from hunter to hunted, from predator through prey.
As it turns out, there is other life on the planet as well. But, you’ll simply need to give Marble Safari a quick go in order to find out the mystery of the Jade Beetle, and those who came before.
Marble Safari is playable for free onĀ Itch.io.
