Souls may be a more conventional demonic currency, but cash money found in forgotten dungeons goes a lot further with the demon who revived you in Serment – Contract with a Devil.
You’ve been brought back to life by a demon with a deep need for gold, and now, you’ve got a high price on your continued existence. The only way you can hope to make that payment on time (and don’t you dare be so much as a day late) is through creeping through dungeons filled with treasure. And monsters. Mostly monsters. But surely monsters don’t also want treasure…
Whether they do or don’t, the monsters aim to clobber you in turn-based combat. You’ll have to use the varied abilities of playable main characters to keep breathing in whichever way you like. Still, combat’s only one side of things, as puzzles may also give you a hard time.
Not that you have to always focus on making money. Serment – Contract with a Devil also lets you explore the stories of a handful of side characters, go fishing, do a little cooking, or craft some handy items. Maybe even find a little romance. It’s up to you what you want to do, but that clock IS ticking.
Serment – Contract with a Devil is available now on Steam.
