JUMPGRID will have you teleporting around a pulsing, colorful cosmic light show, dodging around hazards while trying not to get too caught up in the dazzling spectacle.
JUMPGRID has you controlling a blip of light, leaping between nodes on a grid. As you do, various hazards of light and brilliant color will hurtle around the arena, like a music visualizer with a bone to pick with you. You have to teleport to safe nodes as the moving hazards swirl around you, keeping yourself from meeting a shimmering end.
JUMPGRID moves at high speeds as it hums with its electronic soundtrack, forcing you to dodge in a hurry, often only just barely finding a bit of safe space. Should you get thumped by a wall of color, though, the level simply resets, forcing you to try again. And maybe a few more times after that.
JUMPGRID wants you to “learn to dance with your fingers,” doing so with speedy movements and strobing, pulsing club lights and sound. It’s a dizzying display mingled with heady, demanding gameplay, and all without the trouble of trying to get a cab at 4am from your local dance club.
JUMPGRID is available now on Itch.io and Steam.
