Warp has you helping someone in a sharp hat with their exploration and treasure-seeking across a vast, sometimes wild open world.
Sometimes, Warp (which is a sequel of sorts to the surreal Bowler)has you doing top-down twin stick shooty stuff. Possibly since treasure hunting tends to involve taking things that aren’t really yours, but it’s not like anyone else is using them right now. Maybe they just want your hat. All I know is there are a lot of little cranky fellas who want to bite you a bit. So you should shoot them. Unless you’re keen on getting bitten, although I think this will slow down your financial gain.
Sometimes, Warp has you doing adventure stuff like pointing and clicking. Puzzles and the like. No one just leaves a treasure lying around in the middle of their living room. They always want to put a neat trap around it, so they can at least play with the people who are robbing their home or temple. If I cannot have fun with a burglar who is stealing my heirlooms, then what is even the point of being robbed?
All the time, Warp offers cute, sometimes extremely scary, hand-drawn artwork. It all looks quite lovely, and makes your journey that much more fun. Plus, it adds to the atmosphere as you explore the vast worlds, or spend time in town spending money and bugging the locals. Why treasure hunt unless you can flaunt your wealth, after all?
Warp is currently in development, but you can support its creation on Kickstarter.
