Save the Zacks finds you helping adorable puffballs to escape their planet before it explodes, using a finger to carve a safe path to a warp gate.
For whatever reason, most of the warp gates off of the Zack planet seem to be buried underground. Your finger makes a pretty good digging tool, though, so all you have to do is drag it across the dirt to create an opening. Nothing to it. Then, you can tilt your device so that the puffy fellas tumble through the hole you dug, falling into the gate to safety.
This sounds pretty straightforward, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. Sometimes, junk will get in the way, and you can blow up one of your Zacks to get rid of it (which is kind of depressing). They don’t hurt each other in the explosion, at least. You may also have to guide the critters to different gates, keep them away from spear traps and monsters, or make them land in specific places. It’s not easy saving the adorable things.
If you’re doing a great job being an alien savior, you can also look out for hidden objects buried in the earth, or just strive to lose as few creatures as possible. There’s many different ways to challenge yourself in Save the Zacks, so long as you help these cute creatures get to safety at the end of the day.
Save the Zacks is projected to release in 2019, but in the meantime, you can follow its development on the game’s site.
