Goofy physics make Totally Accurate Battle Simulator‘s combat and large-scale battles into delightful, funny affairs.
Armored men charging toward a line of embedded shieldmen should be enough to inspire a shiver from those beholding it, but Totally Accurate Battle Simulator takes all that and adds a sheen of absurdity with its goofy, floppy movements. Cavemen battling mammoths, wizards calling up magic from the earth, archers launching hundreds of arrows. It doesn’t matter. With these silly, wriggling movements, it all becomes instantly laughable.
You’re given a point pool to place googly-eyed units within a battle (unless you try the Sandbox mode, which lets you really cut loose), and then you get to watch the mayhem unfold as these units clash with whatever danger you’ve been put up against. You can win the day by making some smart decisions on who you place, but honestly, even if you lose, you still win as you watch these dopey characters battle one another, reacting to battlefield changes in their own funny ways.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator makes for some lighthearted tactical entertainment, offering some hilarious battles between soldiers, knights, and mythological figures. The developer is still adding more features and units to the game’s Early Access release, so expect its silliness to only grow over time.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is available now on Steam Early Access.
