A young woman is murdered. A town filled with suspect characters hides the secret. Or you could just ignore it and fix up your house. I’m not your mom.
Lakeview Valley, from the developer of ruthlessly-challenging horror sandbox games Lakeview Cabin Collection, builds upon their work creating games that are like gruesome clockwork – filled with complex, interconnecting things that bring about bloody ends. The game’s town is filled with various NPCs who may or may not be connected to the murder, but who all have private lives you can snoop in on if you wish to follow them over the course of the game’s week-long duration. Who should you follow? Who has the clues? And how will you get close to them? Each person needs to be impressed if you want to get to know them better, and each has different desires.
Looking for a killer doesn’t usually go over all that well with the killer in question, though. Going looking for clues at night can put you in danger from some unsavory types that roam the town, bringing your investigation to a quick end. Unless, you know, you want to get up to some trouble at night to create some competition. No one said there can’t be two killers in town. With your knowledge of people, you might even be the more effective murderer if you want to be. Just watch out for the sheriff who’ll be looking in on your crimes as well.
Or, you know, you can just be a nice person who happens to be living their life. That’s open to you as well. Lakeview Valley won’t judge you.
Lakeview Valley is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
