Sneaking around so that you can kill zombies is fine and dandy, sure, but what if you snuck around so that you could heal them instead? That sounds much nicer.
Plaguepunk Justice puts you in the long-nosed mask of a plague doctor looking to cure some vicious undead of their face-biting problems. To do that, you’ll need to stay out of sight, only moving into view to deliver some much-needed medicine to heal the undead and make them a bit easier to hang around with.
The game works in turns, allowing you a good deal of time to think about how best to skulk around undetected. You’re not a fighter in any sense of the word, so you really don’t want to get seen. Also, you’re making your medicine on the fly using items you can find, so you’ll also want to have some extra time to concoct your serums without being interrupted. If you can juggle making vaccines and dodging undead, you’ll have a good chance of living through this challenge stealth game.
Don’t expect experience to help you much, as Plaguepunk Justice creates randomized levels for you to work through, forcing you to make new strategies each playthrough. With some practice, though, you should be doing just fine at crafting medicine, sneaking up on zombies, and giving them a quick healing needle. Which is just so much nicer than blowing off zombie heads for a change. It’s good to have a little bit of hope to bring folks back in an apocalypse for a change, don’t you think?
Plaguepunk Justice is available now on Steam.
