You will start off by being able to choose your starting area in the procedurally-generated maps. Depending on where you settle, you’ll have different resources and challenges available to you. With 4 different biomes available, you’ll have to think carefully about your leaping-off point. After all, surviving isn’t just about eating and shelter. With over 9 professions that you can assign settlers, you’re going to want to think about which workers are the most useful based on your placement. And you’re probably going to want some strong arms to match your artisans.
As you grow your city, you may find some unfriendly folk roaming a little too close. You’ll want to make sure that your defenses are ready to ward off these plunderers. Although danger isn’t only lurking on the surface. You may find a stronger, more terrifying creature underground. Even dormant Gods are on the table.
Odd Realm has a ton of exciting secrets to uncover while players try to live to see another day. Even seasoned city builder players will feel a level of uncertainty facing off against over twenty-four creatures waiting to strike. Of course, you’ll have over a hundred items to create for your offense and defense. And you’ll need all of them.
