Your guns are handy, yeah, but it’s your iron stomach that’s the real star, allowing you to ingest enemies for new powers, to craft in your belly, and to recharge your special powers.
Roguelite shooter Bite the Bullet casts you as a hard-working warrior for DarwinCorp, putting your fearsome appetite to creative work. You’re supposed to be shooting a lot of these monsters and creatures you come across, but there are many benefits to stopping and snacking on them instead. Eating foes adds them to your valuable Compendium, giving you information for later. You can also chomp on an enemy to gain some handy calories to fuel your special abilities. You can also ingest foes to concoct new weapons and powers. I’m not sure I want to know what’s going on in that stomach.
Your diet will affect your body, though, so you may want to watch what you eat. Depending on which enemies, shots, and items you ingest, you’ll head down different skill paths. Maybe a more veggie-based diet would result in better abilities? Plus you can always loot useful new weapons from the environment rather than just eat everything instead. You’ll get some handy information on each enemy’s nutritional information as you ingest them, so be sure to keep this in mind for later.
Bite the Bullet aims to offer some ridiculous combat through its hungry protagonist, turning shooter play into a gun-toting buffet.
Bite the Bullet is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
