Stones of Solace grants you different idols each day, tasking you with doing a little arts and crafts to create a gift for them.
Stones of Solace takes you to a calming place of contemplation and unwinding. With soothing colors, sounds, and visuals, it creates a space where you can let go of the world around you, joining with various idols. You can simply sit among the stones and allow the sensations of the place to wash over you, if you like.
You’re able to get creative in this peaceful place, too. The game offers a variety of offerings that you can create out of flowers, sea life, moss, and other natural objects. You can play with these however you wish in order to make an offering that feels just right for your idol, bringing a piece of yourself to this relaxing place.
It’s a lovely combination of calming and creative space – a world where you can do some positive creation as you let your mind wander where it wants. Crafting an offering in this mindspace can also have you focusing deep on your craft, allowing the creativity to carry you away from your troubles (and often allowed me to figure them out once they weren’t all-encompassing, impossible-to-ignore things). It can also be an idle task that allows you to think on other parts of your existence, allowing for that clarity of thought that often comes with calming tasks. Either way, Stones of Solace creates a space for self-reflection and striking creativity, and ought to be a place you visit soon.
Stones of Solace is available now on itch.io and Steam.
