The sheer amount of things you can do in There Was A Dream is astounding. It has character customization, house building, crafting, survival mechanics, personalized horse, rescue missions…
The list goes on and that isn’t even touching on the gorgeous setting it’s in.
You will be in charge of Clair, a young woman with family trouble who finds herself in a dream world. This world is a stylized Italian countryside with a strong hint of fantasy – it is a dream, after all. There, you will be able to customize Clair from head to toe, with options to pick out even more stylish clothing at local stores. You can also get haircuts to change your look. Of course, no one works for free and, neither do you! You’ll be able to pick up odd jobs to make money, or you could set out on an adventure and resell whatever you find on the way.
Just as light has dark, dreams are shadowed by nightmares. You’ll be able to use your skills as a fighter to take on some monsters that spill out of the Nightmare dimension. Sneak up on them and get a stealthy hit, set traps, or just go in guns blazing. You can play however you’d like since you’re the hero. Rescuing people from these monsters may even unlock new shops or activities.
You can use the materials you find on your adventures for crafting as well as surviving the tougher areas. Whether your preferred method is gathering, fishing, or farming, you’ll have no shortage of things to do. You may even want to dabble into building your dream house (Pun intended). You can customize that to your liking as well.
Feeling lonely on your journey? You can even train a horse and ride it through the countryside. Personalize this partner in crime. and if you’re feeling a Seabiscuit vibe, you can take part in horse races.
There Was A Dream offers an ample amount of activity in a beautiful world to explore. You are sure to settle into this dream-scape and find yourself right at home with all of these things you can customize to you own taste.
