In Obsurity, your goal is to help two characters find their way through this dangerous world plagued with monsters that you’ll have to use the skills of both characters to defeat.
An exiled knight and a treasure seeker are the stars of the show in this atmospheric action game. You will only be able to control one at a time, but will have to learn how to master both in order to survive against the onslaught of enemies. They will pull no punches, and neither should you.
Both characters have their advantages, and it won’t be long until you figure out how to use both to their best abilities. One character is able to launch powerful ranged attacks, while the other is more of a ‘stab until it dies’ type. Nothing wrong with either! Some enemies are quicker than others, so it’s best to use some of that reckless stabbing to get them to back off in time to whip out a ranged attack. It’s certainly fun to hot swap between the two characters to make sure no one’s doing all the heavy lifting! You’ll need to put your own brain to use as well, as some tricky puzzles that will show up to hinder your progress. A welcome break between slaughters, though.
Obsurity‘s overarching story may require some in-depth thought where it boasts a ‘confused and mysterious plot’. You may have to examine certain clues to unveil the truth of the world. Will you live to see it or will you succumb to the darkness?
