Inferno Manager tasks you with designing the various demonic restaurants and satanic songs that will annoy folks into giving up their mortal souls.
When it comes to going to hell, you’ve already got a rough deal. What I didn’t realize is, on your way to hell, you’ll have to wait in line. Instead of being one of the people in that soul-destroying line, you’ll be the one creating the skin crawling, annoying, skull-imploding features around that line to make the damned give up their souls right on the spot.
Almost playing like a tower defense game, Inferno Manager allows you to place various annoying items around the line of people trying to get into hell. These items include things like pop music and bad fast food joints that probably messed up your order and burned your food. It’s like subtly annoying everyone until they implode, turning into souls which you can then use to purchase upgrades or more items to put on your path.
I got the chance to check out Inferno Manager at the Big Indie Pitch Digital event, where the pitch was just as funny as the game was. The humor is a big focus of the game, from the idea behind it to the tower defense ideas, making the game seem quite fun to play. You can actually end up moving up in ranks, aiming to take over Satan’s position in the company, if you cannot people well. You’ll just need to defeat everyone in your path and make sure your level of hell is absolutely irritating.
Inferno Manager is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can follow its creation on the developer’s Facebook page.
