WHAT THE GOLF? offered a lot of silly golf courses for one person to experience, but now it wants you to enjoy its ridiculousness together on Switch.
If you’re new to the game, all you need to know is that it doesn’t exactly take the sport seriously. The game is divided up into dozens of tiny courses that are all meant to surprise and delight. Once you’ve swung that club, it’s hard to know what’s going to happen. Maybe you’ll find your golfer hurtling toward the hole instead. Maybe a whole house will start rolling to the end. Maybe you’ll do a little bowling instead. Or become spider man. It’s endlessly silly, and constantly offers new takes on the basic mechanics.
Something this ridiculous needs you to have someone watching as you play it, and with its new release on the Nintendo Switch, you have a really good reason to have someone playing with you. The new Party Mode allows two players to tackle some courses at the same time, likely causing more funny trouble for one another. The move to the system also makes use of its touch screen and gyro functionality to add even further surprises to the title, offering some new goofy delights for those who’ve already tried it.
We’ve loved the absurd humor of WHAT THE GOLF?‘s physics-based play for some time, so seeing even more silly stuff added to it makes it easy to want to grab it and play it again.
WHAT THE GOLF? is now available on the Nintendo Switch. It is also available on the Epic Games Store and Apple Arcade.
