Teenage Blob has you helping a gooey teen get to the concert of a lifetime. You’ll just have to do a few oddball tasks in order to get there.
It’s the show of a lifetime, and you’re going to be there no matter what. Trouble is, you’re kind of an amorphous blob with no clothes on, so you have some work to do. To get yourself together, you’ll have to go through six minigames, dressing yourself, delivering sandwiches (Paperboy style), playing guitar at the mall, and skateboarding to the venue in your sweetest frog suit. From there, you can do some crowdsurfing at the concert itself, followed by the walk home afterwards where you’ll be thrumming with energy from the show.
The rock show is happening all around you as you go, though. Each stage is accompanied by a track from The Superweaks, forming an EP by the end of the game. The result is a playable album that creates a silly, surreal adventure as you go. You get some solid tunes and a lot of bizarre, playful minigames in the same package. Not much of a downside, here.
Teenage Blob aims to capture the excitement of getting yourself to a rock show with the trials and tribulations a blob would face along the way. Although these are awfully similar to troubles I also faced as a teen. Am I a blob?
Teenage Blob is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
