Monster Crown has some similarities to other monster-collecting RPGs, but it stands out in that it allows you to mix its creatures to make wild creations.
A young woman is seeking power. I guess that’s enough to make you start hoarding monsters and trying to grow incredibly powerful creatures around here. I’m thinking your character might not have needed much of an excuse to start breeding monsters and stomping a swath across the countryside, honestly. Well, it’s your job to try to keep your character safe from the trouble they get into with their monster pals, carefully recruiting who you need and then tweaking them through selective breeding.
So, which monsters are you going to breed together? There are over two hundred basic monsters you can make a pact with (no capturing creatures here – you need to make a deal with them if you want help on your adventure). These can be bred together to make something different based on the look, abilities, and stats of the parent creatures. As such, you an make some really wild creature combinations, creating some horrifying, strong, and neat-looking beasts. This is a dark take on the monster-collecting RPG, so you might want to work towards making something menacing to explore the world with you.
Monster Crown offers a huge variety of creatures you can concoct, allowing for massive amounts of freedom in what you choose to create through mingling monsters. By playing around with all of the possible things you can create, hopefully you’ll find something that will stop that dangerous gal striving for power. Or just something that lets you stomp folks online. Whatever you and your new beastly pal want to get up to.
Monster Crown is available now on Steam Early Access.
This looks amazing. Something like a Pokemon/SMT crossover.
