Tinkertown is an interesting game, encouraging exploration and building in an entirely new world for you and your friends.
Tinkertown is a really lovely game thus far – I got the chance to play the demo during the Indie Arena Booth Online. You can play alone or with friends, spawning into a pixelated world full of rocks, trees, bushes, stumps, fish, and more. You can start by breaking down some of these smaller resources, gathering wood and rocks before building better tools and a workbench.
From there, you can start making more of a mark on the land, taking bigger trees and rocks down while building up your own home. Beds can set respawn points, armor and weapons can help you fight off monsters, and decorations like bookshelves and tables can make this place your own.
Tinkertown is best played with friends, as when the night comes, you will take on slimes, monsters, and bats while waiting for the morning to continue building your town. There are secrets that are dotted around the world, and while I don’t currently know what they do, I do wonder what else can be uncovered and what secrets this world does hold.
Thankfully, I didn’t find anything that could destroy the items I was building, which was a big positive to me, as I often find sandbox games where monsters can wreck my buildings leaves me not wanting to build too much or really enjoy spending time creating a world that might just be destroyed anyway.
With so many different games having you face off against your friends, having games where you all work together, free to explore and build some sort of world for you all to enjoy, had me really enjoying this title.
Tinkertown is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
is there local co-op/multiplayer?
there is co-op and it’s easy to join up with each other.
