Cat President 2: Purrlitical Revolution sees you becoming a campaign manager for one of six viable feline politicians, striving to keep President DJ Nibbles from re-election. Yup.
In this alternate future that I would literally give just about anything to exist in, humans have been banned from politics, with cats running the show. Still, there are some bad cats out there, and while I don’t know what DJ Nibbles has done, I assume it’s not great. So not great that you need to get to work choosing one of six cute cats to back in the next election. You might not know much about being a campaign manager, but dang it, you’re going to try! Is this one of those jobs you can really learn through grit and gumption, though? Or did I just want to use the word ‘gumption’ in an article?
Like its predecessor and the other excellent works of Oh, a Rock! Studios, this is a deeply ridiculous game where you’ll look at a lot of cute cat pictures and form deep, touching connections with adorable real-world animals. Although the connections aren’t real. Don’t kid yourself into thinking you can just walk up to Earl Grey in real life and scoop him up into a cuddle. Despite the frighteningly-realistic visuals, you are not in fact forming relationships with real cats, nor are you helping them become president. Unless this article is all an elaborate ruse to throw you off the trail. You’re certainly not in a simulation right now, no sir. Not one where the real human race needs your help getting a cat elected to finally break us out of a computer-generated hellscape that holds us all prisoner.
Cat President 2 offers a look at politics that is somehow far less absurd than the current reality, and one that might bring some welcome laughs right now. Or sobs.
Cat President 2: Purrlitical Revolution will be available today on Steam.
