Light the Fires is a straightforward, yet lovely-looking puzzle game, where all you need to do is light a bunch of fires by carefully guiding the flames around.
I got the chance to take a look at Light the Fires through the Digital Big Indie Pitch, where I was very much impressed with the visual quality of the game and the variety of puzzles they have thus far.
I like lighting fires. It’s fun, it’s visually appealing, it’s simplistic. Light the Fires allows you to move fires from burning bins to other bins, setting them alight. The fire you are dragging around cannot hit water or go through walls, so you almost need to follow paths along the bottom of the screen, moving items or watching out for things that could cause your fire to be put out as you find your path. You will need to light other objects on fire, allowing them to light your bins, and find creative ways to solve a large number of puzzle games.
As you beat levels, you will be earning some cash that can then be used to upgrade a massive castle, building it from the ground up. At this time, there isn’t much information on this castle and how it would affect gameplay, as Light the Fires is currently in early access, with TestFlight access happening on a first-come first-served basis through their website. I am hoping the castle has some good gameplay features, and offers more than just cosmetic changes that you put your coins too.
Light the Fire is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can follow its creation on the developer’s site.
