Colossus Down has us joining Nika and Agatha as they set out to destroy all of the lame things on the planet, doing a whole lot of smashing across this vibrant land.
Crummy video games, pea soup, and kitschy dresses are just some of the things that have lead this pair to feel the need to crush anything they deem is uncool. This means a whole lot of punching and stabbing things across a varied cartoon land, using mechs and magical meat cleaver girl powers to do so. Hopefully together, as there’s no better way to beat folks up than doing it with a friend. Preferably within hugging range (the best range for best pals!).
The game is, naturally, pretty ridiculous, and will have you beating up all sorts of bizarre creatures as you push your fashion sense on others. The better you get at beating them up, the more bizarre attacks you’ll unlock, too. I’m not so sure I want to know much about how a move called “The Scarlet Vomit” works, though. You won’t just be slapping people around, as there will be shmup and platforming sequences to give you some variety across this cute (gross, scary?) bloodbath.
Colossus Down feels like a more homicidal take on Adventure Time with its fun visuals, which suits its lighthearted violence well. If you want to beat up on some living pinatas and charming zombies with a good pal, it’ll definitely provide a fun, absurd time.
Colossus Down is available now on the Microsoft Store and Steam.
