ATOLL: THE LAST GHOST has you wandering surreal places, speaking with ghosts who might join you or kill you. It’s a fun surprise either way.
There are many unsettling spirits wandering the area, which, to me, is something that would make me get out of there. Guess we’re sticking around, though. While we’re here, feel free to look around to see which spirits are wandering the area. While they may make a frightening appearance when they pop up in front of you, that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily hostile. Many of them just want to have a nice talk with somebody. If you’re friendly with these ghosts, they might be inclined to hang out with you. A little ghostly backup would be good, right?
You can go it on your own if you like, but that would mean fighting the ghosts, and that’s not going to be easy. They’ll go down, but you’ll be hurt in the exchange. You’ve got some energy drinks, but those won’t exactly keep you alive when the dead lash out at your spirit. You’re better off making some ghost buddies to help you deal with the others, as any ghost that likes you will join you in combat. Since some ghosts will never appreciate your company, you’re better off getting all the help you can.
ATOLL: THE LAST GHOST features some chilling ghosts (the friendly ones are gonna have some permanent spots in my nightmares) across its short play time, and a neat, quick story. Do go give it a quick spin if you have a few moments to frighten yourself with.
