Arriving in Paris, you discover that your fiancee has disappeared. This disappearance grows alarming quickly, but as a low-born woman, finding answers in the French court isn’t going to be easy. Or safe. Still, if you can gather just the right gossip, charm the right noble, or impress the right person, you can get the answers you need. Why stop there, though? If you’re really good, maybe you can shift the course of history. This IS the time of revolution, after all.
Every decision you make feels loaded with importance throughout this title. People are watching you as your power grows in this game, so who you ally with, the people you keep close, and the ways you gather information can all help or harm you in surprising ways. Every conversation is filled with tension as you carefully navigate what you want your opponents to hear or know. Gently controlling the information that you leak or hide can cause big shifts in how the story (and your life) will go, making for a narrative experience that’s hard to tear yourself away from. Ambition: A Minuet in Power gives you the ability to amass all kinds of power and influence if you know how to talk, dress, and strategize. It’s a lethal tightrope to walk the entire time, but the ability to shift political movements and help the people of France with your words alone is hard to turn down.
