Save me Mr Tako, now out with a shiny new Definitive Edition, will have you using your inky powers and good heart to help warring beings learn to coexist.
I’m not super sure why humans and octopi don’t get along (I guess all of the dumping pollution and garbage into the ocean probably isn’t helping things), but it’s got the species at odds with one another. My Tako doesn’t let that stop him from helping a drowning woman, which kicks off a series of events that will have him fighting to end the struggle. It’ll be a slow journey of helping people solve their problems one at a time, but in doing so, hopefully he can end all of this pointless conflict.
Well, he and you, as you’ll be working together to comb through dungeons, make friends with people and animals, and explore the world on sea and land. You’ll do so while looking good, as you can tweak your appearance (and abilities) through an array of fancy hats you can gather up. There’s also lots of ways to get sidetracked through minigames, character conversations, side quests, and lots of other activities that will help you immerse yourself in the world. It’ll help you better get to know the people you’re trying to help, and likely bolster your need to bring some peace to these folks.
With Save me Mr Tako’s definitive edition offering some new difficulty modes and rebalances (and a hint mode in case you get lost, periodically), it’s a good time to spit ink and convince folks to give peace a chance.
Save me Mr Tako is available now on the Nintendo Switch and Steam.
