Ada was just out trick-or-treating with some friends and was hardly expecting to lose them in an (extremely) haunted manor in Sunshine Manor.
The Shadow Man has grabbed your pals but managed to miss you, so now you get the pleasure of exploring the manor to find them. And a way out. Neither will be easy to find, as this place is absolutely polluted with the supernatural. There are dozens of murderous, eerie, and gross creatures wandering the halls, and all with varying interests in harming you. Some will give you a hard time. Others will try to cut your life short. All of them make for some uniquely creepy sights, though, so you rarely know what you’re going to stumble upon (or how much they’ll try to hurt you) as you explore.
While you’ll be looking for lots of items to help you move forward, you’re not helpless on your journey. You can get a few powers and costumes that will give you some offensive power (and other abilities). You’ll need these against the nastier spirits in the manor. And if Shadow Man just decides to show up and fix his initial mistake. He’s not just going to idly sit and wait as the final boss. He’ll keep popping up on your journey, and you’ll need to get rid of him or escape in a hurry. In case you wanted a bit more terrifying pressure put on you.
Sunshine Manor is a constant delight if you just like seeing new monsters and creatures as you work through a horror game. It also makes for a cute, yet still frightening, horror adventure.
Sunshine Manor is available now on Steam.
