Mon Amour stars a charming moustachioed hero out to spread love anywhere he can, kissing any and all who happen upon his path. No one shall go un-smooched!
Love-starved witches have taken the princess and sixty-four members of the royal court away. For whatever reason (It’s from Onion games, so just go with it), your kiss will free these kidnapped people. You just have to flit in the air on the power of your love to land that smooch. Which tends to be a bit harder than it sounds, as there are plenty of hazards, explosions, and nasty things that will clobber you out of your romance-induced flight.
Now, as you land a kiss on each of the subjects, they’ll follow you as you cavort across the level to safety. If you get hit by one of those above-mentioned hazards, you’ll lose one of those subjects. You really want to save EVERYONE with your flying kisses, so try not to get bumped on the head a whole lot. If you lose all of the subjects and get hit again, your run at the stage is over. But really, is it even worth coming home if you leave wolf gals, demon pals, and old fellas un-kissed and left to their captors? Everyone is deserving of love in this world, so you’ll have to be really careful in your flights to bring everyone home.
Mon Amour offers that same, silly sense of humor you see in Onion Games’ many other titles (Dandy Dungeon‘s game developer dungeon crawler and it’s anti-RPG, Moon, leap to mind with their delightful jokes and moods), as well as some excellent music to listen to as you spread flying kisses across the world. Maybe you can even make those witches feel a bit more cheerful with a much-needed kiss.
Mon Amour is available now on the Nintendo eShop and Steam.
