dweeMIXED: Thwee Pack brings a variety of surreal experiences, letting you live life as a shoe, unfreeze a city, or work with pals to make a delicious edible being.
The package upgrades several past games from developer magicdweedoo, master of the hilariously absurd. The first one is Ticket, a game where you play as a shoe that isn’t going to take it any more. I guess the world is in trouble, and the best way to solve its problems is to step on turtles. Which seems to mean that the world is collapsing in a very specific, strange way. I’m not sure if the turtles are involved in this global collapse, or if a turtle sacrifice is required. Anyway, you’re an upset shoe and you will be stepping on a bunch of stuff.
New Ice York is the next title, which has you figuring out who froze the city. Maybe this involves interrogating some odd folks. Maybe it involves punching those people instead. Maybe the whole situation seems a bit odd and you’re not really helping things by throwing your weight around. It’s hard to say, but dang it, you’re going to do it. At least you will until you get sidetracked by Mealmates, a multiplayer game where you work together to make delicious people. We talked about the original release of this one a while back, and the beings you create have only grown tastier with some visual upgrades. Assuming you can taste people through your screen, which I have on good authority that Nintendo will be announcing at the next direct.
dweeMIXED: Thwee Pack is an endlessly wacky set of delights, taking you to some delightfully surreal places and offering some wild experiences. magicdweedoo continually makes stuff that cracks me up, so having a handful of their games in one collection is a no-brainer for me.
