A hot summer day is a lousy time to be hunted by a ghost that can track you by your sweat. Uninvited will see you trying to stay dry and alive in a spooky house.
Three kids are out looking for some zombie cards that have been hidden in a creepy old house. Whoever finds them all gets to be the gang leader. The only light you can carry is a jar of fireflies, though, so don’t expect to bring a flashlight to your search. At best, you get a bit of ambient light to help you as you pore through drawers, closets, and cabinets in your search. It’s not a lot to work with when you need to find thirteen cards. And all while something is definitely following you.
Now, keeping quiet and out of sight is all well and good when a ghost is around. In a neat turn, this presence can also track your scent, though, which is a real drag on a warm night. And when you’re stressed because a ghost is chasing you while you look for stuff. It’s fairly easy to get sweaty here, but a little deodorant should straighten you out. Barring that, you have other items (like chocolate, which phantoms love, apparently) to help yourself out. Might want to keep some on-hand as you look around.
The cast of Uninvited has to be the bravest group of kids who’ve ever existed, as, when one kid dies, you can pick another and send them in. Once all of the kids are dead, then it’s all over. Each one has some neat special abilities, though, so your trips through the house will change based on what they can do. All of them will make for a tense, damp journey through the gloomy home, though.
