Moonfrost is a cozy, farming-style game where you are a Frost Hunter, who has come to a new town in hopes of making the town a better place. However, you have not remembered anything before today and now need to start from scratch, fixing up the town and building up your own home.
Moonfrost has a lot of the key things that farming games have; the ability to create a bunch of different tools, lots of foraging, a small town full of people that want to talk to you. You can spend your days growing crops, selling them to Frost Hunter boards, and helping gather the resources needed to revived the town. I found the tutorial to Moonfrost to be a bit of a strange one; its very hand-holding with a lot of simple instructions that you have to do slowly. The main person, Ash, is also sort of rude – always picking on you and telling you you suck. Not really the way to act when you are trying to help the town!

You can advance the story in Moonfrost through helping the town, which also allows you to discover exactly how things work in this magical realm. You can also build your own home in this game, using a sort of The Sims style building creator, where you can define walls on a grid and create exactly the house you want. A lot of the game has you crafting collecting and making your own home inside this small town. There are lots of blueprints to discover, which allow for more crafting, and people to help!

Moonfrost is a large game, as are most in this genre, with so many different paths to explore and people to interact with. I got the chance to play a small portion of it at Brilliant Indie Treasures, where I enjoyed the graphic style and concept very much.
You can currently purchase Moonfrost on Steam.
