Killer Eyelashes is all about drag queens and a zombie apocalypse, bringing together a funny and well designed story,
Did you think that drag queens take a break during the apocalypse? Well, in this game, the show still must go on! On your debut night as a drag queen, you find that a zombie apocalypse has broke out in the town you are performing in. Which is really a drag (unless you like neat stories). This game is a narrative driven title, but there are some quick-time moments, along with turn-based narrative combat, which is such an interesting twist to the genre.

I got to play a demo of Killer Eyelashes at BCN Game Fest, where I was very excited for my first show and to take on some zombies. At first you are just navigating your first night as a drag queen – meeting other queens, doing small tasks like getting your playlist set up with the DJ, and generally trying to understand the layout of the club. There are a lot of funny characters with their own personalities, all of which are waiting to get to know you while you’re there.
Some of the time, helping other queens (or just getting to know them) triggers a catfight. These fights might be against things like a zipper, instead of people, but you’ll still need to act quickly and read what the person is saying to have a clue towards what you should be picking. As the timer ticks down, you need to pick the right answer, and hopefully cause whatever you are fighting to lose their dignity faster than you. Dignity is how you are perceived in Killer Eyelashes so it’s important to stay on top of it.
Alongside battles, you will also need to make sure you are picking the best songs for the audience that has come to your shows and help out other performers with their own needs and wants. I quite liked the characters and their personalities, which all feel like real pillars in drag.

Killer Eyelashes is currently in development, but in the meantime, there is a demo available on Steam.
